This means that if Bologna were to sell Calafiori for €50 million, Basel would be entitled to receive around €25 million of the transfer fee, which would significantly impact Bologna's profit from the deal.

Arsenal are now reportedly in talks with Basel over a fee, with Bologna said to be requesting around €50 million. However, it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement that satisfies both parties. If Basel insists on their full sell-on clause, it could potentially derail Arsenal's pursuit of Calafiori.

Calafiori has only been with Bologna for one season, but he has impressed with his performances in Serie A. The 20-year-old left-back has made 25 appearances for Bologna and has established himself as one of the most promising young defenders in Italy. He has also been capped at youth level for Italy.
